Terms and Conditions of the Gift Card

Can I purchase a gift card online?

Yes, it is possible to buy gift cards with $10.00, $25.00, $50.00 and $100.00 denominations on our website. All gift cards bought online can be sent by regular mail or can be picked up directly in store.

Do you sell electronic gift cards?

Unfortunately, we can’t send electronic gift cards by email. At this time, all physical gift cards purchased online can be sent by regular mail or can be picked up directly in store.

How to use a gift card?

To pay for your purchase using a gift card, present it in store (valid in all Sports Experts, Atmosphere, Sports Rousseau, Hockey Experts and L’Entrepôt du Hockey stores in Quebec). If you make an online purchase on sportsexperts.ca, enter the card number and personal identification number (PIN) at the “Checkout” step on the website. You can pay by combining up to two (2) gift cards. Don't forget to click on the 'Add' button, followed by the 'Place your order' button to ensure that the gift card is applied correctly.

Does my Sports Experts and Atmosphere gift card have an expiry date?

The Sports Experts and Atmosphere gift card has no expiry date nor any fees in connection with its use, or penalties for dormancy.

Are shipping fees applicable on the purchase of a gift card?

No, when a gift card is purchased alone, all shipping fees will be waived. On the other hand, when ordered with other products, the value of the gift card is excluded in determining if the free shipping minimum threshold is met. Don’t forget that all shipping fees are always waived when “Pickup in store” is selected.

Can I use a gift card purchased online to make an in-store purchase?

Yes, all gift cards purchased online are accepted both online and in stores.

Can I use a gift card purchased in store to make an online purchase?

Yes! Gift cards currently sold in stores have a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and are therefore accepted online.

Please note that older gift cards without a PIN may still be in circulation and are only accepted in stores.

If you want to use the card to make an online purchase, please contact our Customer Service at support@sports-experts.heyday-mail.com. One of our team members will be able to replace your card.

I want to offer a gift card to someone, is it possible to order it online?

Yes, you can order a physical gift card online to offer it to someone. In the “Shipping address” section, fill in the information of the person who will receive the gift card. However, the shipping address must always be in the province of Quebec.

The billing information must be in your name. Moreover, your billing address should always match the one associated to the credit card used for the payment of your order. Please note that no name is printed on the gift card.

I bought a gift card online, but I did not receive it, or it is not activated, what can I do?

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you have not received your gift card, please send an email to support@sports-experts.heyday-mail.com. Be sure to include the order number (if possible), name and email address provided when the order was placed.

f you received a non-activated gift card, please send us an email to support@sports-experts.heyday-mail.com including the order number, name and email address entered when the order was placed as well as front and back pictures of the gift card.

What are the terms of use for my gift card?

Use of this card constitutes acceptance of the following terms:

  • The dollar value of your purchases will be deducted from the card until the value reaches zero.
  • Refunds will be applied to the card or to another gift card.
  • This card is not a negotiable instrument and may not be resold.
  • This card is neither redeemable for cash nor refundable, except where required by law, and may not be reloaded, except in the case of a refund.
  • This card will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • We reserve the right to cancel this card at any time if there is evidence that it has been obtained illegally.
  • The card has no value until purchased and activated.

Why do I see a $0 balance after applying my gift card?

When you place an order online, payment is not processed immediately. There is a pre-authorization placed on the credit card or gift card used to ensure the funds are available. Once the order ships, we complete the transaction and charge the cards. This is why the gift card does not appear in your confirmation email.


Terms and Conditions of the Promotional Card

Will I receive the promotional card(s) from the promotions similar to “Spend and Get” in my package along with the other items I ordered?

Absolutely. Since promotions such as “Spend and Get” are offered online and in store, you will receive the promotional cards applicable to your order.

Are all products on the website eligible for “Spend and Get” promotions?

Unfortunately, not all products are eligible for this promotion, as we must respect our suppliers' pricing policies. Additionally, this type of promotion only applies to regularly priced products. In any case, the promotional card will be automatically added to your shopping cart if the selected items are eligible for the promotion.

What happens to my promotional card when I return an item purchased as part of a “Spend and Get” promotion?

In the event of a refund or exchange, in accordance with our return policy, the promotional card must be returned at the time of the refund or exchange. If the promotional card is returned, we will proceed with the refund transaction and will deduct, if applicable, an amount corresponding to the portion already used of the promotional card. If the promotional card is not returned, we will still proceed with the refund of the transaction but will deduct the full value of the promotional card received with the initial purchase.

Can I use the promotional cards received in store in a different Sports Experts and Atmosphere store?

No, when a purchase is made in store and a promotional card is offered, this promotional card is only valid in this specific store.

When I place an order online and a promotional card is delivered, can I use it in any store?

Yes, when promotional cards are delivered with an online order, they can be used in all Sports Experts and Atmosphere stores.

Can I use a promotional card as a method of payment to place my online order?

If your promotional card was delivered with an online order, yes you will be able to use it for a second purchase on our website during its period of validity.

However, if your promotional card was delivered with an in-store purchase, it will only be valid for a purchase in this specific store.

Are there effective and expiry dates for the promotional cards?

Yes, on the back of your promotional card, you will be able to take note of the validity dates as well as the terms of use of the promotion.

What are the terms of use for my promotional card?

The use of a Sports Experts or Atmosphere promotional card implies acceptance of the following terms of use, which can be modified at any time without prior notice:

  • This card is not valid for the purchase of gift cards, third party offers nor tickets.
  • This card cannot be redeemed for cash and is non-refundable, except as required by law, and cannot be resold nor recharged.
  • If the card is lost or stolen, it will not be replaced.
  • We reserve the right to cancel this card at any time, if it is proven to have been obtained illegally.
