RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY

In-store Return and Exchange (for online and in-store purchases)

For purchases made in-store and online, you can return or exchange your items.

Please return any new, unused, and unworn item, with tags, purchased online or in-store in its original packaging, along with your receipt, to any nearby Sports Experts or Atmosphere store.

If the returned item is not in new, unused or unworn condition, we reserve the right to refuse both the return and the refund.

What products are excluded?

  • Jock straps, mouth protectors and facial coverings / masks. Additionally, socks, swimsuits, undergarments, sports bras, biking shorts and headphones.
  • Certified climbing equipment, such as carabiners and connectors, slings, protections, ropes, harnesses, quickdraws, safety and belay devices.
  • Thermoformable ice hockey skates.

2024 Holiday Season Return Policy

Please note that our return policy has been extended for the holiday season. Due to the Canada Post strike, all eCommerce purchases made between October 28 and December 24, 2024, can be exchanged or returned and refunded until January 15, 2025.

Purchases made in-store from October 28 to December 24, 2024, can be exchanged, returned, or refunded until January 5, 2025.

Starting December 26, 2024, our regular policy will apply, which means 15 days from the date of purchase for a refund and 30 days from the date of purchase for an exchange.

  • New merchandise and in its original packaging.
  • No returns or exchanges on December 26 and 27, 2024.
  • EXCEPTION TO OUR RETURN POLICY: In the case of an event involving the issuance of a promotional card, if a return or exchange is made following our return policy, the card must be returned to the store. If the promotional card is returned, the store will process the refund and deduct, if applicable, an amount corresponding to the portion of the promotional card already used. If the promotional card is not returned, the store will still process the refund but will deduct the full value of the promotional card issued during the initial transaction.

What are the in-store return fees?

There are no fees for in-store returns.

What is the refund processing time?

Returns in-store are processed immediately to the credit card or debit card. In some rare occasions, it can take a few days to appear on your account.

Can I return something that I bought on sale?

Yes, it is possible to return an item that was purchased at a discount or on clearance while respecting our return policy.

How can I make an exchange in-store?

Upon presentation of your electronic receipt, we will exchange any new, unused and unworn item, with tags, purchased online, in its original packaging, at any Sports Experts store in Canada or Atmosphere store in Quebec.

For in-store purchases, an exchange is possible within 30 days of the purchase with the receipt. For online purchases, an exchange is possible within 30 days of receiving the email containing the tracking information (for “Regular Delivery” orders) or the email confirming that your order is ready for pickup (for “Store Pickup” orders).

We recommend contacting a store to confirm availability of an item before your visit. Store inventory is updated every hour on our website. For this reason, there may be discrepancies during store hours. Also, note that inventory may vary from one store to another.


Return by Mail (for online purchases)

The refund of an online purchase can take 2 to 3 weeks when a return is made by mail. Exchanges can only be done in-store (See below for more details).

Return your new, unused and unworn item, with tags, in their original packaging by mail using the return label included in your package.

Be sure to return each package with its corresponding return label.

If the returned item is not in new, unused or unworn condition, we reserve the right to refuse both the return and the refund. Therefore, the item will be shipped back to you.

What are the refund times for returns by mail?

Refunds are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. During busier periods, it may take 2 to 3 weeks. A confirmation email will be sent to you once the refund has been processed.

The refunded amount will appear on your statement within 7 business days.

What are the delivery costs for returns by mail?

  • A return processing fee of $10.00 plus tax will be deducted from the refund when choosing this method.
  • The delivery fee of $8.00 plus tax and additional fees paid for oversized products are not refundable.
  • Only one return shipping charge will be deducted per order.

How do I return an online purchase by mail?

Prepare your parcel

Pack the unused, undamaged item, with tags, in its original packaging in the shipping box or bag along with all instructions, parts and accessories.

Apply the return label

A prepaid return label is included in your package to facilitate your returns. Stick the return label to the outside of the shipping box or bag. Be sure to remove any other labels or addresses written on the package to avoid confusion.

If you return a pair of shoes, boots, or skates, please do not apply the return label directly on the box or seal it with an adhesive tape, as the box is an integral part of the product. If you do so, we reserve the right to refuse the return and the refund. Therefore, the item will be shipped back to you.

Send your parcel

Drop off the package at any office of the company that issued the return label found in your package. The shipping costs are prepaid, so you won’t have to pay anything at that time. However, a return processing fee of $10.00 plus taxes will be deducted from your refund. That’s it! Only one return fee will be deducted per order.

Keep an eye on your email inbox

You will receive an email notification when your refund is completed. The refund will be made in the same form as the original payment.

Packages are inspected upon return. If the returned item is not in new, unused, or unworn condition, we reserve the right to refuse the return and the refund. Consequently, the item will be shipped back to you.

How can I do an exchange by mail?

Exchanges are available in-store only. For online purchases, an exchange is possible within 30 days of receiving the email with your tracking information (for “Regular Delivery” orders) or the email confirming that your order is ready for pickup (for “Store Pickup” orders).

Sports Experts Mirabel Outlets Return

Purchases made in our Outlets stores, such as Sports Experts Outlets Mirabel, must be returned or exchanged at the original store. The return and exchange policy for our outlets stores is as follows:

  • Refunds are possible within 15 days of purchase with the receipt.
  • Exchanges are possible within 30 days of purchase with the receipt.

The items must be new, in their original packaging, with the tags still attached. Products that are not eligible for returns or exchanges remain the same as those listed in our regular policy.

Warranties

For online orders and store purchases: please visit a Sports Experts and Atmosphere store near you with the receipt and item to inquire about our suppliers’ warranty policy.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper use and accidental breakage. Hockey stick breakage during normal use will be subject to the manufacturer’s limited 30-day warranty (only in Sports Experts stores in Canada). Make sure the serial number sticker is always affixed to the hockey stick.
